Barely just two years after his incident with musician Ringtone along a Nairobi street, the outspoken Kileleshwa Ward representative Robert Alai yet in another fight.
Police in Kisumu are investigating an incident where Mr. Jacktone Ojwang Ogendo, a former Kisumu MCA assaulted the Nairobi based Ward Representative.
The incident is believed to have occurred at the Pinecone Hotel, a building owned by Kisumu Central MP Dr. Joshua Oron, where the case was reported and registered as “Assault of VIP Incident” at the Kisumu Police Station.
“Former MCA for Nyalenda B. Jacktone Ojwang Ogendo confronted Mr. Alai, hitting him in the head and causing a cut on his forehead,” read the police report.
Mr. Ogendo is believed to have been upset over a tweet Mr. Alai sent out a few months ago that mentioned his family and this prompted him to attack the MCA at the hotel even though the police were unable to determine the reason for the alleged assault.
After being referred to the hospital for treatment, Mr. Alai later went to the Kisumu Central Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer for statement taking and further action. He then requested that the police and Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o look into some defilement allegations against the former MCA.
