cabinet secretaries in the current government have a total of 1.2 million to cater for the late former education secretary prof George Magoha
Information Communication and the Digital Economy Cabinet secretary Eliud Owalo handed over the contribution to the family of Prof. Magoha’s at his residence in Lavington in Nairobi. He said that the money was contributed individually by the cabinet secretaries
The CS tagged along with principal secretary for internal security, Dr. Raymond Omollo and the Gem Constituency member of parliament, Elisha said the government was in touch with the family to ensure hat everything is going well
The former CS body would be transported to Yala by air as promised earlier.it would as well as support the procession that will take place place on 8th Feb 2023 in Nairobi
‘food support to be delivered by the government is already on the ground,” stated the CS
He again promised the family that the government will keep supporting them during the mourning period and beyond
Elisha Odhiambo said the people of Gem were grateful to the president William Ruto for the support he had given them and that they would continue working together.
“we want to give Magoha a memorable and nice sendoff that is reflective to the people of Gem’ who are themselves indomitable in education,” he said.
The farewell caravan will proceed to the lee funeral where there will be a procession to various places, The University Of Nairobi, Starehe Boys Centre, Nigerian high Commission, State House Girls school among others
The late Professor Magoha will be laid to rest on 11th Feb. 2023 at his home Umiru,Nyamnina on Saturday, February 11,2023
