The boss of Diamond Platnumz’s music label, WCB Wasafi has broke his silence and expressed happiness after his artist Zuchu set a record of being the first female artist in East Africa to reach 100 million views on a single song.
Zuchu who was signed to the label in early 2020 and last weekend reached 100 million views on his song Sugar, which he released a few months after being signed.
Following the success, her boss who is also said to be her boyfriend could not hide his happiness and was proud of Zuchu saying that the beauty of Zanzibar has given honor to the WCB label.
Diamond said that Zuchu has made his label happy because the song ‘Sukari’ is the first non-collaborative Kiswahili song to reach 100 million views from a female artist.
Apart from that record, Zuchu is also one of the female artists in the Sub-Saharan region with the most followers on the YouTube video network.
The song ‘Sukari’ has been mentioned by many as the best ever from the artist Zuchu, who some feel has failed to live up to the expectations of many who say that the other hits he has released have never reached the level of ‘Sukari’.
