GOVERNOR GLADYS WANGA, AKOTHEE, PRINCE INDAH UP FOR ROAN HALF MARATHON.

Homabay Governor H.E Gladys Wanga and her administration are committed towards making Homabay County a Tourist destination and it is for a fact that she wont rest until Homabay is on the map. I must say the previous administration did a good job, but Wanga is working the magic barely a year in office.

Together with her deputy HE. Oyugi Magwanga, a dummy of the weekend event was staged at the Homabay stadium in a bid to tighten all the loose ends.

” Feeling energized after a practice run with my team in preparation for the Roan Antelope Half Marathon. Lets Lace up our shoes, run with purpose and make a positive impact on the environment and the community” she posted.

The Roan Antelope half marathon also known as RUN WITH THE ROAN will begin on Friday the 5th of May and end on saturday May 6th. The main event shall be happening at the Ruma National Park Homabay County.

On the night of 5th performance list has household names in the luo entertainment industry, among them Akothee, Prince Indah, Denno Tingiza, Othicho and Onyi Papa Jey.

On the 5th of may early morning there shall be Lake Excursion with the water bus departing from Homabay Town Pier. The water bus shall arrive at Mbita Pier as convoy departs for Koguta junction. Thereafter Game drive at the Ruma National park shall go down with Late lunch served at the park site. The day shall be crowned with Homabay Untold at around 5.30 in the evening with bonfire story telling about Homabay County with Live performance by A-List artistes: Akothee, Prince Indah, Onyi Papa Jay, Othicho and Denno Tingiza.

6th of May will begin with a warm up session then the 21Km, 10Km and 5Km fun run flag offs respectively. The Half Marathon shall end at 10.00am paving way for Awards ceremony and speeches.

Tickets sell at Ksh 50,000 for Corporates Individuals shall part with Ksh 1,000 and students are required to pay Ksh 500.

See you at the Roan Antelope Half Marathon hosted by Governor Gladys Wanga in Homabay County on Friday and Saturday May 5th and 6th respectively.
