The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is to receive the first batch of ballot papers today.
According to the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, the batch will be received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
Speaking during a meeting with the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (kepsa), the IEBC chairman said that the ballot papers will arrive today adding that presidential ballot papers will be last to be printed.
“Procurement had been finalised and what we are currently doing is the printing of ballot papers, which is currently ongoing,” Mr. Chebukati said.
Chebukati has assured Kenyans that the ballot papers will have adequate security features including serial numbers, which will be specific to each polling station.
Chebukati added that the number of ballot papers will be the same as that of registered voters in each station and therefore no room for rigging of votes.
