A 25-year-old Bomet University College student is being treated at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet County after his alleged girlfriend stabbed him during a break-up fight yesterday.
The student who lives in the Sewage residential area had a visit from his 21-year-old girlfriend, who was in the companion of her friend at his home. The break-up decision enraged his girlfriend, who grabbed a kitchen knife from her underclothes and stabbed him in the chest.
As her friend’s attempt to make calm her feel down failed, she decided to inform the neighbors of the situation, who then rushed the stabbed student to the hospital.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Bomet Central Police Station, according to Bashir Ali, the deputy police commander for Bomet Central Sub-County, who also stated that investigations are still underway.
