A man got arrested yesterday in Huruma area in Nairobi for planting marijuana. The police came to the residence after being informed by the public about the issue.
Collins Nandi planted marijuana behind his house and covered it using mosquito nets to avoid being noticed.
The detectives arrived on Thursday, 9th June at the Scene after being notified by the public and on arrival they uprooted the plants and proceeded to arrest the man.
Elsewhere in Juja, Kiambu County police seized bhang and heroin from a house located about 200metres from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) .
The drugs were recovered by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers following an intelligence report. Amongst the drugs that were recovered are 80 pieces of heroin worth ksh.80,000 ,Thirty rolls of bhang and 100 litres of chang’aa.
As fight against illegal drugs continue in the country, citizens are opening up and investing in drugs in hopes that bhang will be legalised if at all the roots presidential aspirant, George Wajackoyah becomes the 5th Kenyan president.
