A controversial remark was made by the Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria when he said, “don’t incite Kenyans” , this was after a Public Service Vehicle was burnt down along Ngong’ Road. A section of Kenyans hit back at the CS, calling on him to allow investigative agencies to take up the matter. The PSV bus was burnt by alleged goons after the resumption of anti-government demos by the opposition party in Nairobi.

Moses Kuria’s act of vowing for revenge over the torching of a PVS by goons on the 2nd May has come under heavy criticism by the public many asking what he really meant. This occurred during the running battles between the demonstrating youth and the police.

The CS added that he will investigate the matter and swift measures will be taken against those who will be found guilty. I quote “Revenge will be swift and in corresponding measure. This will be the last. I solemnly promise,”

As we all know propaganda is everywhere and not everyone is on the same page. One man’s meat is another man’s poison. Therefore, the tweet by the outspoken CS was criticised by a section of Kenyans who accused Kuria of attempting to incite Kenyans.

Most Kenyans asked the CS to let the investigative agencies take up the matter and bring the goons into books.
