PRESIDENT RUTO APPOINTS GENERAL FRANCIS OMONDI OGOLLA CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCES
Messages of congratulations continue to stream in as General Francis Ogolla takes over from Military boss Robert Kibochi to become the new Chief of Defence Forces .
General Robert Kariuki Kibochi term of service comes to an end after 44 years of illustrious military career.
President Ruto also appointed Lieutenant General Jonah Mwangi as the Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF)
In July last year ,President Uhuru Kenyatta promoted Major General Francis Ogolla to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed him as the Vice Chief of Defence Forces in KDF.
With the appointment,Lieutenant General Ogolla took over from Lieutenant General Franklin Mghalu whose term of service had come to an end after 40 years of service .
President Uhuru also promoted Brigadier John Omenda to the rank of Major General and appointed him as the commander of Kenya Airforce .Major General Omenda replaced Lieutenant General Francis Ogolla then.
