Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has promised residents of Nothern Kenya that he will re-open the Kenya-somalia boarder.
Speaking during a rally at Habaswein in Wajir County yesterday, Raila Odiga promised to reopen the boarder so as to boost trade which in tern help revive Kenyan economy.
“My government is going to open the Kenya-Somalia boarder since we have a new president who is friendly to our nation so that our people can continue with inter-country trade which has been hindered by our starined relationship in the past,” said Odinga.
Odinga also vowed to improve security in the region since insecurity has been the main reason for underdevelopment in the Nothern part of Kenya. He said he would put up an abattoir and leather factories to create Job opportunities in the region.

Azimio presidential candidate accompanied by his running mate Martha Karua toured Takaba in Mandera County on Sunday. Karua urged the residents to turn out in large numbers and vote in Azimio candidates to ensure they deliver on their manifestos.
