Rising Kenyan rapper/singer Ganjor releases the music video of his new single “Nairobi Love”, giving fans a taste of his upcoming album.
“Nairobi Love” serves as the introductory track from Ganjor’s debut album titled “The Great Son of McBeth,” after his mother’s endearing nickname.
According to Ganjor, “Nairobi Love pays homage to the vibrant culture of the city where I was born and raised.” The 4-minute track features an infectious hook and rides on a catchy gengetone beat, which is the prevailing rhythm of the city.
The accompanying music video takes viewers on a visual journey through Nairobi’s bustling Central Business District, both day and night. This colourful masterpiece showcases the artsy Nairobi City Market, the newly constructed Expressway, and the inviting greenery of a lush suburb, creating a captivating backdrop.
Additionally, the music video includes authentic footage captured at the Mukuru Kwa Ruben Center in Nairobi. During his visit earlier in 2023, Ganjor had the pleasure of shooting a dance video with the local school children. He also recorded a radio interview at Ruben FM, a radio station that reaches over 350,000 listeners.

Ganjor who has been active in the Kenyan music scene for the past 5 years was recently signed to Lucky Bean Music Productions in May 2023. His co-writer and music producer, Gary, created a special Nairobi Love Big Band Lucky Bean remix, adding a unique bassy flavor to the hit song. FreeStylie a bonus track not on the album, is also available on music streaming platforms.
