Uhuru secondary school in Nairobi has been closed indefinitely after the death of a student which occurred under unknown circumstances on Monday, 20th June.
The boy is said to have passed away shortly after being taken to the hospital.
According to his fellow students, the boy complained about not feeling on coming from the field following a basket ball game. The boy then fell unconscious where he was rushed to the to the school bay but since there was no attendant, he was rushed to the hospital where he lost his life.
This occurred after fire razed down two dormitories in the school on Sunday night. The cause of the fire is being looked into.
According to the police, the student was not affected by the fire incident and the cause of the death is yet to be determined.
Buruburu OCPD Francis Ngugi Kamau said they are investigating the death. He added that an autopsy will be conducted on the body to establish the cause of the death.
