Regardless of the president not attending the late Professor Magoha’s burial His excellency honored Magoha’s final wishes.
President William Ruto did not attend the final sendoff of the late former cabinet secretary for education Professor George Magoha and he choose to send cabinet secretary for information and communication technology Eliud Owalo.
The cabinet secretary delivered the president’s speech to the people of Gem.it was the government that made sure that the late final sendoff was memorable and lavish as it should have been for a great legend of this country.
” Prof. Magoha loved doing his work and ensured he did it to his level best. If he had doubts about something he wouldn’t begin doing it. He has left legacy among Kenyans. He was a kind man that ensured every child got education and was very kind to people especially the poor.”
Ruto also described Magoha as an exceptional leader and an inspiring professional role model whose achievements and legacy will forever be remembered
Current cabinet secretary for Education Dr. Ezekiel Machogu was also there to pay his final respects. and disclosed that the head of state has agreed to consider Magoha;s personal request to have her sister work in the government.
“Magoha when alive made one request to me saying he had a sister that he wanted the government to consider for something. i want the people of gem to know that i discussed the issue with the President and he has agreed to the request and that the sister will be working in the government……..”He stated.
