Social media users especially from Nigeria have called on a pastor after a video surfaced showing how he humiliated a girl who was giving testimony at the altar of his church.

The pastor identified as Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Center church was dragged on the internet by people asking him to apologize to a member of his church who was publicly shamed and accused of dishonesty during the testimony session.

A video that went viral on Sunday showed Enenche questioning the credibility of the woman’s testimony at his church in Abuja.

The woman, Anyim Vera, who claimed to have graduated with a “Bsc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, was interrupted by Enenche, who accused her of lying.

He told her he didn’t look like a law graduate, going by the way he spoke. He also told him that there is no such thing as “Bsc in Law” and asked him to leave the altar.

Following the incident, netizens scratched and revealed the woman’s Facebook page with photos proving that she graduated from the college.

Also, the list of graduates who participated in the assembly on Saturday, April 13, included the name of the beauty. He was listed as having graduated with LLB Law.

The video has created mixed feelings on social networks, with some asking Enenche to apologize for his action, while others are defending his position.

Some say that the woman’s lack of eloquence could lead to misunderstandings, while others believe that Enenche’s approach was harsh.

X User, Soulmedika, wrote, “The only thing Pastor Paul Enenche needs to do to that woman is apologize and it should be a lot! All the excuses of ‘it’s not the Pastor’s fault, the woman should have named her degree’ are lame! Yes, everyone should stop acting like Christianity is a cult!”
