The Public Service Commission (PSC) has dismissed reports that they have appointed former journalist Jacque Maribe in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management as Head of Communications.

In a statement on March 14 Thursday, PSC chairman Anthony Muchiri emphasized that no such appointment has been made and the board has not received any request to hire Maribe. This comes a week after several reports confirmed that Maribe got the lucrative job, which came days after he was acquitted in the case of the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani in 2018.

Cabinet Secretary for Public Service (CS) Moses Kuria was even quoted by one news outlet as confirming the appointment. Taking to his social media on March 10, Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi thanked CS Kuria for the appointment.
