Police in Uganda’s Kyotera District are on the hunt for Namubiru Jackie, who is accused of attacking her coworker, Nakimera Lydia, 23, with a syringe suspected of containing hazardous chemicals on April 20th, 2023.
According to a police statement made on Tuesday, the victim was brought to the hospital in serious condition and died as a result of the dangerous chemical found on the syringe used to attack her.
“She was rushed to Bulamu clinic and later transferred in critical condition to Byansi’s clinic in Masaka City.” “The victim died from the poisonous substance on April 23, 2023 at approximately 6:30 p.m.,” read the statement in parts.
The motive for the attack is unknown, however police spokesperson Enanga Fred speculated that it could have been inspired by envy or jealousy.
