Kiambu – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been on a mission to mobilize the Mt Kenya area which is rich in votes to follow him.

This has given rise to rumors that DP Deputy Secretary General and Public Service Minister Moses Kuria do not see eye to eye with the DP Gachagua. The two leaders have set the record straight that there are no issues between them, but their actions have continued to leave more questions.

In a recent incident, Kuria has dismissed calls for the region to unite, adding that they are already speaking with one voice.

Kuria was surprised how politicians continue to talk about unity, but the region supported President William Ruto in the 2022 General Election. He claimed that many leaders who want unity were not honest, saying that most of them are after being made kings of the regions.

He explained that it is time to work for the people and address their daily needs instead of making political movements. Kuria argued that unity should be encouraged and presented to the people, adding that political unity will not put food on people’s tables.
